We were proud to take part in the Build My Future event in Central Ohio in conjunction with the Building Industry Association of Central Ohio and the National Association of Home Builders! Helping young people discover career opportunities in the home-building industry is something we’re passionate about. It’s always inspiring to see future builders, designers, and industry leaders get excited about the process of creating homes. During the event, several Wayne Homes team members had the opportunity to walk students through hands-on activities to give them a real sense of what goes into building a home. From understanding construction basics to learning about design and planning, it was incredible to see students engage and discover the possibilities available in the home-building industry. Giving back to the communities where we build is at the heart of what we do, and we’re grateful to support this important initiative.

Women in Construction Week starts today, and we’re kicking it off in the best way—by inspiring the next generation! We recently had the privilege of visiting a local elementary school to read “The House That She Built” and share stories about incredible women making an impact in the construction industry. Then the kids put their creativity to work by building their own marshmallow and toothpick structures – proving that future builders come in all sizes! It was inspiring to see how excited they were to bring their ideas to life. We love helping kids discover the possibilities available to them in homebuilding, and we hope this experience sparked an interest in the world of construction!
