WAVE Foundation - Newport Aquarium

Yesterday was the very first day of camp in the WAVE classrooms ?? The halls were filled with laughter and ooohs and ahhhs of wonder. The exhibits at Newport Aquarium inspired many kiddos to create their very own art. Team WAVE was beaming ear to ear. Maybe we shed some tears, too ?? It was an incredible day in WAVE history. Thank you to all the parents, staff, volunteers, and donors responsible for making this camp the best it can be! This collaboration aims to enhance our impact and encourage more businesses to participate in the environmental movement. 1% for the Planet serves as an accountability partner for companies willing to move away from traditional practices and contribute to environmental organizations making a significant difference worldwide. Founded in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, the founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, the founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, their members have collectively donated hundreds of millions of dollars to environmental partners thus far. Yvon Chouinard, co-founder of 1% for the Planet, emphasizes, “The intent of 1% for the Planet is to help fund these diverse environmental organizations so that collectively they can be a more powerful source in solving the world’s problems.” ????
