10 years ago, at the start of May 2014, I joined on with Wave as a Firmware Developer. Over those 10 years I've had the fortune of being part of the team that developed and deployed really exciting technology. I've attached the first couple of photos I took upon joining with Wave. At the time, we were working on getting our early 50kW system to actually deliver power consistently on this CCW-built bus at the University of Utah. We literally had to have someone sit at the charger with a laptop to control the charge process as the controls software had not been written yet. Now we have many deployed vehicles and chargers, and have delivered many gigawatt hours of charging. Our systems run autonomously, we have a great telemetry platform, and operators don't even have to think about charging. I've learned that managing people is a lot harder than writing software, but is highly enjoyable when you have a motivated, excited team. I don't know what the next 10 years will hold, but I look forward to finding out!
