FREE event for girls ages 12-18! Girls in Aviation Day is an event that happens around the world in September. Join the Women in Aviation-SE Wisconsin Chapter at their annual event at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport! Pre-registration is required and the tickets will become available on August 24th. We only have 100 spots available so please sign up quickly if you would like a spot. The event fills up very quickly! In past years it has filled up within days. Waukesha Airport participated in this year’s Truck Day at the Menomonee Falls Public Library. This event wrapped up the Summer Reading Challenge. Representatives from the airport, police department, public works, fire department, utilities, school bus, and towing companies were on hand. Trucks parked and gave kids the opportunity to learn about different jobs and how their respective vehicles are put to use. Maddie McLennand, Assistant Operations, represented the airport and said it was a lot of fun seeing families enjoy the event.
