This is the result of aligning advanced algorithms, operational excellence, and driver training in perfect harmony. What we’ve achieved is a fully optimized truck that never sits idle. It’s consistently charged and put to work on a 300-mile tour, twice a day, every day—85% of which is completed with a trailer. The charts shown represent roughly 2200 miles traveled in 5 days on 1 truck. How did we get here? Over the past several years, we’ve strategically partnered with shippers who are committed to their sustainability goals. By testing routes and moving their loads, we’ve been able to build a robust pipeline of freight that moves efficiently across our network. This data is crucial in reducing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). While electric trucks come with more constraints than their diesel counterparts, we’ve developed the ability to model routes that are optimized for electric vehicles, which in turn helps reduce TCO. This allows owner-operators to focus on what they do best—driving. Through our Truck-as-a-Service (TaaS) platform, we bundle routes so that owner-operators no longer have to deal with uncertainties. They can rely on a set schedule with pre-loaded freight, keeping them busy and reducing TCO. This achievement would not have been possible without the strong relationships we’ve built with our customers and manufacturers, as well as with the team we have built at WattEV, Inc.. Port of Oakland partner WattEV to deploy 200 Zero-Emission Trucks ?? The oft-heard complaint of communities around major ports is about diesel emissions of the heavy-duty drayage trucks serving the port. With funding from a grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Port of Oakland grant partner WattEV will field 200 zero-emission drayage trucks to service the port and put an end to truck emissions. The trucks will charge at WattEV’s local charging depot, due to open in 2026. The trucks will be available to local owner-operators and small fleets from WattEV’s affordable truck-as-a-service program.
