On August 30th, SafeRx joined forces with the Tri-County Collaborative and Watsonville Community Hospital to host a remarkable International Overdose Awareness Day event!??? We were thrilled to see such enthusiastic community participation, especially from our younger generation. Hundreds of Narcan units were distributed, and we had the privilege of hearing from several organizations and speakers, including those with lived experience. The event was held at the beautiful Watsonville Plaza Farmer's Market, where we enjoyed perfect weather and delicious food.??? Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this important cause. Together, we’re making a difference!?????

Watsonville Community Hospital represented at the Community Health Trust of Pajaro Valley Rally in the Valley softball tournament over the weekend. Not only did we help raise over $3,000 for Luna y Sol Familia Center, but we edged out some really good teams to take home the trophy. Such a fun day.

Congratulations to our team who presented at the 2024 American Delirium Society Annual Conference! Every year, more than 7 million hospitalized Americans suffer from delirium, which is a state of confusion that can come on suddenly and last hours to days, or longer. When recognized and managed properly, patient outcomes improve significantly. Our dedicated ICU nurses developed a Quality Improvement Initiative that not only made a real difference for our patients, it provided an opportunity to share best practices with other healthcare professionals at the conference. #delirium #QualityCare #patientsfirst #improvedpatientcare
