Women’s health is everyone’s future. And today, nearly 100 of you showed up at our #CSW69 event—listening, sharing, and helping steer the conversation toward a future where every woman has access to the care she deserves. Our favorite part? The open forum—where you shared, from the heart, what success in women’s health and well-being looks like. Your words were powerful, and we can’t wait to share more soon. For now, we want to say thank you. To our panelists Dr. Jaymie Claire Henry, Dr. Touch Sokdavy,?and Beth Wangigi, our incredible hosts Mackinnon Engen & Kimmy Coseteng, and every single person who took the time to be part of this conversation—you give us hope. #ClosingTheGap #WomensHealth UN Women McKinsey Health Institute World Economic Forum

For Hannah, supporting Watsi is deeply personal. She was born via C-section—so when she read Lay’s story on Watsi, a mother in a refugee camp needing the same life-saving care, she didn’t just scroll past. She took action. Because every woman deserves access to healthcare. Because no woman should have to wait for life-saving treatment. You can make it possible for someone in need today ?? https://bit.ly/4iQerSX

#IWD2025 is over, but the need for care isn’t. Too many women face systemic barriers to healthcare, often putting their families first at the cost of their own well-being. We are changing that. With over 16,000 women receiving life-changing surgeries—from trauma care to vision restoration—we’re making healthcare affordable, transparent, and accessible to those who need it most. Join us in closing the gap. Give directly, change a life today: watsi.org

?? 1 in 3 women around the world still don’t have access... ...to basic healthcare—often for treatable conditions. And in low-income countries, 66% of women can’t afford the care they urgently need. Too many women are held back by health barriers they shouldn’t have to face. But when women have access to care, families thrive, communities grow, and the impact ripples far beyond one person. This #InternationalWomensDay, let’s make sure every woman gets the care she deserves—because WOMEN'S HEALTH = EVERYONE'S FUTURE. Tell us - What does women’s health mean to you? ?? #IWD #WomensHealth #HealthEquity

Women never forget kindness—they pass it on.?? For three years, Naw Ya (https://lnkd.in/eAwSwt3E) waited for surgery. Then, 47 donors showed up—and changed everything. "I’ll never forget your kindness. How can I repay it?" – Naw Ya Women’s health isn’t just about one person—it strengthens families, communities, and generations. This Women’s Day, let’s invest in a future where every woman gets the care she deserves ?? https://lnkd.in/efZsEcv #WomensHealth #EveryonesFuture

Thanks to our friends at Community Boost for elevating such an important conversation. Connection, community, and collaboration are at the heart of Watsi, and we couldn’t have said it better ourselves. It’s the last day of Evolve, their 10th Nonprofit Marketing Summit—catch some of the incredible sessions before it wraps!
What a joy to chat with Athena Katsaros, Rachel Verlik, and Gabriela Berlanga about leadership, community, and the power of support. One big takeaway? Mission-driven work can feel lonely. So many people shared that they’re searching for help but don’t know where to turn. I’ve been there too—feeling like I had to figure everything out alone or make something perfect before putting it out into the world. But at?Watsi, I've been able to embrace getting started over perfection, and have really learned to lean on: ?? Our Board: Margaret C., Rajeev Malik, Grace Garey, Michael Pryor, Chase Adam ?? Advisors and all-star volunteers: Linnea Hur, Premal Shah, Paul Hudnut, Dr. Jemilah Mahmood, Mahlet Kifle Habtemariam, Mo Mullen, Benjamin Orthlieb, Matthew M. Barnes, David Milestone, Emily Edwards, Sarah Bush, Sarah Labowitz, Caitlin McShane, Reena Ahluwalia, Gadi Rouache ?? Peer leaders: Kelli Kreps, Christina Sass, Nithya Ramanathan, Heather Anderson, Dr. Esther Njoroge-Muriithi, Joshua Haynes, Shelly Helgeson, and so many more The highs and lows will always come, but we don't have to face them on our own. In the upheaval of the last few weeks, one thing I've noticed is that even more people are stepping up to see how they can help or get involved. We seem to be craving connection, community, and being part of something real and good for the world. As Linnea and I shared with a brand new cohort of volunteers we trained last night, we feel so LUCKY ?? for all of the exceptionally talented, driven, and compassionate people who step up to help at Watsi. Our work is better, more sustainable, and a whole lot more fun when we do it TOGETHER.
