关于我们
Watershed Geo is an environmental solutions company offering unparalleled geosynthetic options for both civil and environmental applications for erosion control, soil stabilization, waste containment and solar energy. Through best-in-class materials and extreme engineering, Watershed Geo products deliver reduced environmental impact while limiting the long-term costs associated with landfill management and hard armor revetment. The company’s in-house polymer scientists, geotechnical engineers, and hydrologists have worked with multiple universities and private research labs to achieve unprecedented performance that far exceeds that of traditional landfill closure and revetment methods. Our products include: ? ClosureTurf? - A final closure system for municipal, industrial, and coal combustion residual landfill/impoundment final closures ? HydroTurf? - An advanced revetment technology for high hydraulic shear protection in down chutes perimeter channels, bench drains, outfall structures, slopes and basins ? PowerCap? - A revolutionary new approach to solar on landfills and impoundments, directly attached to the ClosureTurf capping system with no penetrations, eliminating racking material ? VersaCap? - An intermediate cover for odor prevention, emission control and leachate reduction ? CapSure? - A high-performance intermediate cover solution for landfills that is impermeable and wind-resistant, reduces leachate, prevents erosion, and contains and controls landfill gas

Another innovative ClosureTurf? application! Check out this post to see how it’s making a difference.
?? From Landfill to Landmark: Repurposing Waste Sites into Community Greenspaces ?? Landfills don’t have to be the end of the line. Across the country, closed landfills are turned into parks, trails, and outdoor spaces that bring people and nature together. Greenspaces improve public health, provide wildlife habitat, and create a sense of community. Repurposing these sites helps reconnect people with the environment while making use of land that would otherwise sit idle. ???? At Chester County Solid Waste Authority, we’ve embraced this by creating the Lanchester Nature Trail, which features two scenic overlooks with periscopes for visitors to take in the valley views. There’s also a pavilion with picnic tables, offering a place to rest and enjoy the outdoors. Turning closed landfills into public spaces helps strengthen the connection between environmental responsibility and community engagement. ??????? #Sustainability #LandfillRepurposing #Greenspaces #OutdoorRecreation #EnvironmentalStewardship #CommunityEngagement #WasteToWonder #NaturePhotography #DronePhotography #EcoFriendly

This month Watershed Geo began construction on the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Shawnee Fossil Plant (SHF) Project Phoenix.?This project will be the first time a large utility-scale solar photovoltaic (PV) system will be constructed on top of a closed coal combustion residuals (CCR) facility.?The project is slated to finish the PV infrastructure construction and commissioning in January 2028 and will produce 100 megawatts of clean renewable energy onto the Power Grid by July 2028 (enough to power more than 16,000 homes with Clean Energy).?The SHF Project Phoenix PV system uses our PowerCap??technology designed specifically to be installed with the Watershed Geo ClosureTurf? capping system. When complete, over 245,000 PV modules will be installed and hundreds of thousands of feet of cabling, extending across more than 250-acres.?Watershed Geo is extremely excited to be partnering with TVA on this first-of-a-kind project, and we look forward to continuing to work with TVA on meeting their sustainability and renewable energy goals for the future.
