Everyone is talking about Cybersecurity, but what does that really mean?? Are you ready to defend against a cyber-attack?? Join the VA AWWA | VWEA Emergency Preparedness and Security Committee at WaterJAM for the?Cybersecurity Overview and Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan Workshop.??This interactive workshop will provide attendees with important cybersecurity information, including resources for cybersecurity assessments, technical assistance, planning, training, response, and funding.? ? Upon arrival for this workshop, attendees will be given a simple eight-question self-assessment that includes the Top Cyber Actions for Security Water Systems published by CISA, EPA, and FBI.??During the breakout portion of the workshop, attendees will be grouped based on their cyber maturity and/or awareness derived from their self-assessment results. US EPA has developed new Cybersecurity Incident Response templates for each stage of cyber maturity. Attendees will be paired with facilitators to stimulate the development of an Incident Response Plan using the template that matches their self-assessed cyber maturity level. A hotwash session will conclude the workshop, where attendees can share lessons learned and discuss a path forward through a Q&A across cybersecurity maturity/awareness levels.
