#COP29 has ended and the Global Commission on the Economics of Water is reflecting back on #WaterDay ? Emerging as a true highlight, was the event "New Water Economics for Climate Action throughout the Rio Conventions, towards UN 2026 - valuing the hydrological cycle as a #globalcommongood" hosted by the #GCEW, in collaboration with the Benelux-EIB Pavilion. ? GCEW Commissioners Naoko Ishii, Elizabeth Wathuti , O.G.W and Ma Jun reflected on what the GCEW report findings mean for governing the water cycle as a global common good, intergenerational action and data-related challenges. ? Inviting His Excellency Riaz Hamidullah, Dr. Amgad Elmahdi Jerker Tamelander, Jesus Alquezar and Daniel Themen on stage, this dynamic panel discussed the intrinsic linkages between the hydrological cycle and climate change and the actions needed in terms of finance, economics, governance, and policy mixes to advance the international #WaterAgenda. ?
