Water Compass participated in the 22nd African Water and Sanitation Association (AFWASA) Congress, themed "Water and Sanitation for All: A Secure Future for Africa." The event emphasized the importance of innovation, digital transformation, and strategic financial models in water service delivery. Key insights for us included the need to communicate water’s value clearly across sectors, redefine success as sustainable, dignified services rather than infrastructure, and recognize the limitations of community-managed systems. Inspired by these insights, Water Compass remains dedicated to driving sustainable water solutions through innovation, strategic partnerships, and climate resilience. #AFWASA2025 #WaterInnovation #Sustainability #WaterCompass #UWASNET

As we enter into the festive season, at Water Compass we are happy to share the joy brought by access to clean water with the communities we serve. we are proud to announce the launch of the Lusaalira Solar-Powered Piped Water System in Sembabule District. This piped water system will serve the communities of Lusaalira and Kanyogoga, as well as St. Francis Lusaalira R.C. Primary School, bringing clean, reliable water to at least 1200 people. During the launch, we had the privilege of speaking with several women and children from the community. we asked them, "What does access to water mean to you?" Their answers were powerful and heartwarming. To many, it means joy, peace, dignity, and the freedom to focus on other productive ventures. For the children, it means something just as profound: more time to play. What better Christmas gift than the joy and hope brought by access to clean water? This milestone is a testament to the power of collaboration and the impact of sustainable water solutions. Here's to many more communities experiencing the same transformation! #WaterForAll #CleanWater #Sustainability #SolarPoweredSolutions #CommunityImpact

On November 25, Water Compass held a collaborative Joint Planning Meeting with the Ministry of Water & Environment’s Regional Center 4 and the District Water Officers from Bukomansimbi, Gomba, and Sembabule. This meeting aimed to align efforts, develop a coordinated investment plan, and prioritize underserved areas for piped water systems in FY 2025/26 and 2026/27. This is all part of our Public Private Partnerships (PPP) approach to develop and manage water infrastructure in rural areas in Uganda. #WaterAccess #Sustainability #Collaboration #Innovation #WASH #Uganda #PublicPrivatePartnership

We are overwhelmingly excited to announce the launch of the Namirembe solar powered piped water system in Sembabule District. This piped water system will serve a community of over 900 people?and ?supply clean water to Namirembe Church of Uganda Primary School that has an enrollment of 460 boys and 488 girls. Water Compass is passionate about providing access to safe and secure water to communities with deep-rooted water access insecurity, specifically in rural Uganda. Sembabule’s semi-aridity and intermittent rainfall make water scarcity worse—especially in the dry season. Even societies such as Namirembe have relied on seasonal sources such as streams, which are fickle and frequently polluted. This initiative is part of our continuing commitment to creating lasting solutions and enhancing the quality of life for people.
