?? Meet the Ambassadors: Lutz Walter ?? Lutz Walter, Secretary General at Textile ETP, an advocate for sustainable innovation in the textile sector, highlights the need for urgent change: "#Waste2BioComp is a timely and strategic project to explore different novel pathways to more sustainable, resource-efficient and, where applicable, more easily biodegradable material alternatives." Today, about two-thirds of all textile fibres come from non-renewable fossil resources. To build a truly sustainable future, we must develop biobased alternatives for fibres, chemicals, and coatings. That’s where #W2BC comes in. By exploring the use of organic waste and underutilised biobased feedstocks, the project aims to reduce reliance on fossil resources while creating more sustainable, biodegradable materials. ?? Stay tuned for more insights from industry leaders driving change! ?? #MeetTheAmbassadors #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #Innovation
