? Had an Amazing Time at AMIA 2025 in Pittsburgh! ? I’m beyond excited to share that my colleague, Lars Schimmelpfennig (PhD student at WashU), and I successfully presented our poster at the AMIA (American Medical Informatics Association) Conference on Airway Stenosis Classification with Breathing Audio Data! ?? This experience has been truly transformative, and I couldn’t have asked for a better opportunity to dive deeper into medical informatics while bridging it with public health and epidemiology. A huge shoutout to @Zachary Abrams for his incredible guidance throughout Bridge2AI and beyond, making this journey to AMIA possible. Also, a heartfelt thank you to WashU Institute for Informatics, Data Science and Biostatistics sponsoring us to attend this fantastic event. From engaging keynotes to inspiring discussions, AMIA 2025 in Pittsburgh was an unforgettable experience! I had the chance to interact with some of the brightest minds in medical informatics, including Dipak Prasad Upadhyaya Upadhyaya (Biomedical & Health Informatics PhD Candidate), @Dr. Xie Ju (Professor, University of Florida), and Sari Mayhue (PhD student, Medical University of South Carolina). Their work and insights truly expanded my perspective on the role of informatics in shaping public health and clinical decision-making. Beyond that, reconnecting with my fellow Bridge2AI classmates—Lars Schimmelpfennig, Rosie Mugoya, Preethi Mathari PharmD, MS, Hannah S., @Will Powell, and Stephanie Fan—was the absolute highlight! It’s always inspiring to see how AI and informatics are revolutionizing healthcare, and I’m more excited than ever to explore interdisciplinary collaborations in AI, data science, and public health. ?? Here’s to more innovation, learning, and impactful research ahead! If you attended AMIA 2025, I’d love to hear about your experience! Let’s keep the conversation going! ?? #AMIA2025 #Pittsburgh #MedicalInformatics #Bridge2AI #PublicHealthInformatics #Epidemiology #AIinHealthcare #WashU #DataScience #Collaboration
