  • ?? Ace Your Next Interview with These Tips & Tools! Are you preparing for an upcoming interview? ????? Our CCE has you covered! Check out these essential tools and tips to help you shine: ● Mock Interviews: Practice truly makes perfect when it comes to interviews! Scheduling a mock interview allows you to simulate a real interview experience, helping you build confidence, refine your responses, and identify areas for improvement. It’s a great way to get constructive feedback on everything from your body language to how effectively you answer common interview questions. ● Research Resources: Leverage tools like LinkedIn and Glassdoor to thoroughly research the company, the role you’re applying for, and current industry trends. On LinkedIn, explore the company’s page, recent posts, and employee profiles to understand their culture and values. Glassdoor can provide insights into typical interview questions, employee reviews, and salary expectations. This knowledge not only helps you tailor your answers but also shows the employer you’ve done your homework. ● Dress for Success: First impressions are key to interview success—your appearance sets the tone before you even speak. Dressing professionally and aligning your outfit with the company culture shows respect and demonstrates that you’ve done your homework. Opt for clean, well-fitted, and appropriate attire that reflects the role you’re applying for, ensuring you look polished and confident. ● Follow-up Tips: After your interview, take the time to send a thoughtful, personalized thank-you email to the interviewer. Mention specific highlights from the conversation, express your enthusiasm for the role, and reiterate why you’re a great fit for the position. This simple gesture not only shows your professionalism and gratitude but also helps keep you top of mind as they make their decision. ?? Need help? Stop by DUC 110 for personalized guidance and tools to nail your interview! Let’s get you one step closer to landing your dream job! ?? #HireWashU #WashU

  • Guess what! November is National Career Development (NCD) Month, created to inspire people to keep learning and growing in their careers! ?? ? It’s been a tradition since 1967, thanks to the National Career Development Association (NCDA), which kicked it off to support career professionals. ? Several states, like Virginia, Vermont, New Hampshire, Ohio, and Missouri, officially recognize NCD Month after governors and mayors join in with proclamations! ? Every year, the NCDA celebrates with a Poetry & Art Contest – now in its 59th year! This year’s theme? “Creating My Career Path: Embracing Change in My Journey.” Ready to join the fun? https://buff.ly/4fb2yWC #HireWashU #WashU
