WASH Data Consultancy Kicks Off We are pleased to announce that the WASH Data Research Consultancy has officially begun! This research aims to understand the WASH data environment. As part of this important process, the consultants Karl Lellouche and Wilhelmina Welsch will conduct key informant interviews to gather insights that will shape our collective efforts within the WASH Roadmap. In the coming weeks, we will be reaching out to member organizations to identify the appropriate WASH professionals within your teams for these interviews. Your support in facilitating access to these key individuals will be invaluable to ensuring the success of this initiative. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and look forward to working closely with you during this consultancy phase.

What will assist the WASH sector in delivering evidence-based programs globally? 2025 starts off with an exciting assignment - Karl Lellouche Resilience Eau - Res'eau and I will support the WASH Road Map collective in jointly mapping the WASH Data Ecosystem across domains, identifying gaps and opportunities in data use and co-creating a clear vision of how data can best be leveraged in decision-making.

We finally made it. A first draft of the upcoming 'Compendium of Solid Waste Management in Humanitarian Settings' is now available and is currently being shared for wider sector review. I would like to encourage all SWM aficionados to have a closer look at the document (or specific chapters you could contribute to) and make sure your experience and expertise is included and well captured.

?? Consultancy Alert ?? Development of a tool to enhance climate resilience and environmental impact of humanitarian sanitation technologies. The aim of this tender is to complement the "Compendium of Sanitation Technologies in Emergencies" with a tool that helps to make the practical implementation of humanitarian sanitation projects more climate-resilient and environmentally friendly. More specifically, the tool aims to support the selection of appropriate technologies and sanitation systems, through a basic evaluation of their vulnerabilities to key climate risks, as well as their potential environmental impacts. ?? Exciting news! On the 3rd of December at the One Water Summit, we celebrated a significant milestone in the humanitarian WASH sector. Over the past year, we have been working tirelessly to elevate the critical importance of Humanitarian WASH. French President Emmanuel Macron formally acknowledged the WASH Roadmap Call to Action, confirming France’s commitment by signing and supporting its goals. This achievement directly contributed to the recent appointment of the Special Envoy on Water—one of the Call to Action's key objectives. We are seeking an innovative and experienced consultant to contribute to Initiative 6 of the WASH Road Map. Key Responsibilities: ?? Develop integrated Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical guidelines. ?? Design technical tools like quality frameworks, checklists, and coordination mechanisms. ?? Lead capacity-building initiatives and global advocacy campaigns. ?? Foster intersectoral funding mechanisms and operational models. ?? Collaborate closely with Mercy Corps, Save the Children International, and Medair. What We’re Looking For: ?? Master’s degree in public health or a related field. ?? 5+ years of leadership in research, project management, and humanitarian WASH programs. ??
