What if this was (already) the end…? ?? Today marks the official launch of the partnership between Washminute and the Radia Orphanage in Marrakech. On this occasion, we are honored to have donated 5,000 dirhams to this institution—exactly one year after the launch of Washminute. ?? From day one, our co-founders committed to donating 5% of the company’s net profits to local charities. This initiative has inspired and driven our entire team, from operators to managers, and of course, the co-founders themselves. ???? At Washminute, we know that any entrepreneurial journey can come to an end at any moment, sometimes even when everything seems to be going perfectly… And if that were to be our fate, we would at least be proud: ? Of making this donation, however small, through our young startup. ? Of hiring and training passionate employees who are motivated to work for a company with an ecological impact (water conservation??), a humanitarian impact (supporting orphanages ????), and a social impact (creating meaningful jobs ????????). ? Of handing over this check in front of a dozen other startups, hoping to inspire them to take action as well. You don’t have to be a multinational to make a difference. ??? A major highlight of the recent GW School of Business “Entrepreneurial Ecosystems” Short-Term Study Away Program (STAP) in Morocco was the January 7th Pitch Session at TECHNOPARK Maroc (MITC). Students had an opportunity to witness three early-stage Moroccan startups pitch in front of VC fund managers and participate in a lively Q&A session.
