Please share with any high school-age students you know or any adults interested in being teacher-mentors! Applications are open for this summer's Youth Heritage Project (YHP), taking place July 16-19 at Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve, near the town of Coupeville on Whidbey Island. YHP is the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation's summer program that combines history, science, and the great outdoors—and it's completely FREE for those accepted! Students will explore topics related to maritime heritage and the impact of climate change on the preservation of historic and cultural resources. Students will have opportunities to engage in hands-on activities to help conservation efforts, visit historic sites throughout?Ebey's Reserve, and learn about co-management of cultural resources.
