关于我们
Washington Trails Association mobilizes hikers and everyone who loves the outdoors to explore, steward and champion trails and public lands. Everyone deserves to have opportunities to recreate outdoors and to have safe, welcoming and inclusive experiences on trail. If there’s one thing we know — it’s that trails and access to the outdoors are a must-have. Help us ensure more people have access to the benefits of time spent in nature. Let’s build that future together. We are a collaborative and fun community of passionate individuals, motivating each other to give our best efforts at work. Although we may be tackling some of the biggest problems facing hikers and public lands — we inspire and challenge each other to be fierce, take risks and celebrate when we can. Time is running out for the Great American Outdoors Act, with funding set to end in 2025. We need your help urging Congress to continue this essential funding for the outdoor spaces we all love. Since the Great American Outdoors Act passed with bipartisan support in 2020, it has made a landmark investment in our national parks, national forests, and other federal public lands. Because of Great American Outdoors Act funding, organizations like Washington Trails Association and Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust have partnered to repair, redesign, and reroute trails, roads, and campgrounds along the I-90 corridor and beyond. Access to the outdoors is a must-have for Washington residents, but funding will end if we don’t advocate for it. Learn how this will impact trails and to sign a petition asking Congress to continue this vital funding. #WashingtonTrails #MTSGreenway #PublicLands #Conservation #Washington #PNW #Hike #Forests #Recreation #Funding #Nonprofit

Trails are great. Who could say no to quality time outside with friends and family, all while soaking in the beauty of Washington? But did you know that trails are also good for our health? ALLtech Benefits understands the link between spending time recreating outdoors and good health, and has been partnering with WTA to support trails since 2019. We're grateful for the support of partners like ALLtech that help fund the resources hikers rely on to get outside ?? #Health #Partnership #Washington

Since Washington Trails Association was founded, we’ve been dedicated to connecting people with trails and working to make the outdoors more accessible and inclusive. In 2025, we’re eager to continue this work — rallying volunteers to build and repair trails statewide, mobilizing hikers to take collective action for public lands and lowering barriers to outdoor recreation. There is joy and peace to be found in green spaces, particularly in times of stress and uncertainty. With support from our community, WTA is devoted to ensuring those places thrive for generations to come.
Looking ahead to 2025: WTA’s commitment to trails and to our community
