????Crocodile surveys complete ! ????? #tbt First time getting this close to a croc! These animals represent a large predator in BZE also impacted by coastal pollution just like the smaller critters in this project. After taking small noninvasive samples under our research permit, @crocodileresearchcoalition intern Alejandra Ariza & our team safely returned him to the water with the guidance of expert scientist Jonathan Triminio (@_triminio ) ???? Later in the week we were lucky enough to spot a female croc guarding her nest in between thunderstorms with “Croc Mama” Dr. Marisa Tellez @doc_tellez13 ????? Next I’ll share collecting fish from fishermen & deploying temperature loggers!?????? Huge day for protein design, UW, UW biochemistry dept (where I proudly did my grad work), and obviously David. We are still in the early innings of protein design impacting human health, and I'm looking forward to the decades of innovations still to come from the Baker Lab and IPD.
