Washington Heritage Museums is seeking candidates for two of our 18th?century sites in Fredericksburg, Virginia, The Mary Washington House and the Rising Sun Tavern. The sites directly tie into George Washington and his family. Candidates will support the Washington Heritage Museums' mission by providing costumed guided tours to visitors from around the world. Candidates must be comfortable with public speaking and prioritize customer service. An interest in history and basic knowledge of colonial/American history is preferred. Today, we officially announced that #WHM is more than halfway toward its goal of raising $1.6 million to preserve the Mary Washington Monument site in historic Downtown #Fredericksburg. Even more exciting, three generous donors will be matching all gifts made through Dec. 31, 2024, up to a combined total of $75,000. “It truly is an honor to be able to steward this remarkable woman’s legacy in this way," said Kelly Johnson, capital campaign co-chair.
