Worth the read. Reimagining the Healthcare System and setting bold aims: ? Affordable, accessible, and equitable health care must be established for everyone in the US (universal coverage) ? Protect Americans from unsustainable costs (eliminate medical debt) ? Increasing Americans’ health-adjusted life expectancy (or “healthspan”) from sixty-six years to seventy-five years (focus on health) ? Improvements should be equally available; all racial, ethnic, and gender gaps in all dimensions of care and outcomes must be eliminated (address SDOH issues and community needs) ? Health outcomes in the US, on average, should match or be better than OECD averages (despite being the most technologically advanced health care, are system fails too many people) ? Reduce total US health care expenditures to no more than 20?percent above the OECD average (9.2?percent of GDP in 2022) within ten to fifteen years Big goals are going to take a while.
