Never forget
We remember today as a day that changed the landscape of our nation, the world, and how we live our day to day lives 23 years ago. More importantly, we remember and honor those whose lives were taken in an unparalleled act of terrorism, those who lost their lives in an effort to save the lives of others, those who watched and inherited the horrific trauma of the events in New York, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania, to our service members who responded to protect the freedom of our nation, and those who lost loved ones, colleagues, friends, and neighbors. Today is one more reminder of the importance of our collective work, and why our efforts to end targeted violence remain as important as ever. Our gratitude to all of you who choose to dedicate your lives to safeguarding the welfare of others, and our love to those who continue to try and heal wounds that undoubtedly run incredibly deep.

Our thoughts are with those who suffered a loss. The ATAP community, including all members from our chapter, will continue to serve and protect our communities, together, tirelessly.
Any targeted violence in our community is unacceptable, particularly when it involves loss of life. As we anxiously watch and wait for information on the latest school attack, please join all of us in the ATAP family in mourning with those who have suffered loss today and to all in the community and our nation who are affected by these senseless acts of violence. Please continue to do the work that we all do to keep our communities safe and realize that even though attacks still occur, we are saving countless lives. ATAP is mourning with our country today, but our resolve is still strong to work to keep our communities safe.

The Association of Threat Assessment Professionals Annual Threat Management Conference was an excellent event. There were over 1100 attendees and our chapter had well over 100 members attending. From exceptional presentations to the amazing networking events our members and prospective members had opportunities learn and to connect with their peers and other experts in the field. Looking forward to next year. Please consider joining us for the Winter conference in Orlando, Florida.
