Students from Edmonds School District had a big week with #CareerTours! First stop was learning all about radio and broadcasting at KEXP followed by multimedia activities with Ground Zero Radio at The Vera Project. It was a day filled with creative exposure and meaningful conversations about broadcast engineering, script creating, entrepreneurship & merchandising, and operating cameras, lights and mics! The week ended with students from Aerospace Manufacturing Classes visiting U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Ventures - stepping into the world of creating devices that help people. Here students got an inside look at 3D printing and had a chance to brainstorm unique assistive technology devices to help veterans use everyday items - such as holding a marker with limited hand or finger mobility! A big thank you to our partners for broadening exposure to these students!
