关于我们
The Washburn University School of Business faculty and staff are committed to our students' success. Our faculty is comprised of a wide variety of experienced business professionals and full-time professors — all with the highest degrees in their field. Our students enjoy small class sizes that allow them to have individual time with faculty and form relationships with fellow students. Here students have access to the latest business database and software resources and have opportunities including managing an actual equities portfolio, completing internships and traveling and working overseas. Our graduating seniors consistently place in the top 20th percentile on the national ETS Major Field Test in business. The School of Business holds accreditation from AACSB International, an elite business school accreditation, with only the top 5% of business schools in the world having earned this mark of quality.

For almost 150 years, The Wall Street Journal has been the leader in covering world business news, markets, politics and culture. Both the newspaper and the numerous data sources associated with it are key resources used by students and faculty as they learn about business and the economy in their classes. Contribute to this project to help make a free subscription to the WSJ and its myriad of web resources a continued reality for our entire campus. https://lnkd.in/gPKXz4un

Years ago, the School of Business embarked on a voyage to make global business understanding a hallmark of a Washburn education with the goal of preparing our students so they compete with anyone anywhere in the world. One hundred percent of your support for this Day of Giving project will be used to provide scholarships and offset direct costs to students who desire to participate in these international-focused learning endeavors. (Alumni Michael & Karen Elpers, Lonnie Hossfield and Mayo Schmidt are all matching gifts for this project, up to $1,500, $1,500 and $3,000 respectively.)

The School of Business has incorporated the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy’s Center for the Public Trust Ethical Leadership Certification Program as a requirement in the Organization and Management class so that all undergraduate students get a stronger grounding in ethics. The certification program, an online training platform, is used in tandem with lecture, case work and course objectives. Donations to this project will support the School of Business Ethical Leadership Certification Program. (Alumni Roger Underwood and an anonymous donor are matching gifts for this project, both up to $500.) https://lnkd.in/g2gGE9SP

Dean Sollars loves to say "Yes!" when students and faculty ask for financial help – from scholarships to attending a conference or trying a classroom innovation, and so many things in between. Our Day of Giving project to Increase the Dean's Fund for Excellence aims to allow the Dean to be able to say "Yes!" to make their great ideas into a reality! (Alumni Scot Ferrell and an anonymous donor are matching gifts for this project up to $5,000 and $1,000 respectively.) https://lnkd.in/g6-uQjQa
