WASEA - Western Association of Student Employment Administrators

The Western Association of Student Employment Administrators (WASEA) is a non-profit association of professionals involved with programs for students who work while attending college. To this end, we support and promote student employment through research, professional development, and the exchange of information. Core Values: - Commitment to innovation and excellence - Promoting the empowerment of student employment professionals - To provide quality services and information - To model and promote integrity in all professional endeavors - To encourage the involvement of all student employment administrators in the Western region. - To provide support to our members through conferences, trainings, and online materials. - Promoting and advocating for students employed across the region. - Creating bridges to facilitate the exchange of information and collaboration between regions. - Create awareness and recognition for the work student employees do. - Provide a network of professionals who support on another and student employment in the region and at the national level. Members include individuals and institutions associated with the administration and support of student employment in post secondary educational programs and government, private, community, or civic organizations. Members are often involved in a variety of fields: Financial Aid, JLD, Work-Study, Student Employment, Career Services, Placement, Cooperative Education, Internships, Human Resources, and private industry. WASEA encourages participation from all states. The Western Region is defined by the National Student Employment Association (NSEA) to include Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
