Have you marked your calendars for the Walk 4 Hope on Saturday, September 28th? This is a suicide prevention & awareness walk, and it is free to the public. Sign up today! Participants who have lost someone to suicide are encouraged to bring a photo of their loved one to the memory wall. WBH has been associated with Hope4Utah for 30+ years. They have done a remarkable job of bringing awareness to behavioral health and suicide prevention in the community. We are proud to support this event. We will have a booth there, so make sure to stop by and say hi! . . . #walk4hope #hopeforutah #suicidepreventionmonth #utahevents

Marriage and Family Therapist, Jacob Harper of our American Fork Family Clinic sent in one of his favorite quotes: "The curious paradox is when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." - Carl Rogers . . . It describes radical acceptance "as the ability to accept situations that are outside of your control without judging them, reducing the suffering they cause. By accepting things for what they are, you can acknowledge your emotions without denying, avoiding, or ignoring the situation. It can be an effective way to process your emotions and manage difficult experiences." (Very well mind.com). Below are some ways to practice this throughout your daily life: -live in the present -acknowledge the facts of the situation -realize what is in our control and out of our control -accept what is -try a nonjudgmental perspective
