Celebrate with us as we open the doors to Warren Village at Alameda, our new, two-building facility designed to support families overcoming homelessness or facing housing instability. With 89 new units and on-site childcare and supportive services, this space nearly doubles Warren Village’s ability to help families thrive and achieve economic independence. Community members will have a chance to explore our new campus with tours, a scavenger hunt, and carnival games and activities. Our Early Learning Center staff will offer an opportunity to learn more about the resources available to families in the community. Local supporters and elected officials will be in attendance and will share remarks at a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Sponsorship opportunities are available. 关于我们
Warren Village exists so that low-income, single-parent families can achieve sustainable personal and economic self-sufficiency. Specifically, Warren Village nurtures the potential in individuals and families through three on-site integrated programs: Housing — Providing safe, affordable subsidized housing; offering 92 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments accommodating families of up to six children and one adult. The Learning Center — On-site, high quality child care and early childhood education for as many as 113 children (ages 6 weeks through 10 years) through a multi-cultural and gender-fair curriculum developed for at-risk urban kids. Family Services — giving parents and their children the opportunity to change and improve their lives through a full range of services, including comprehensive case management, vocational assessment, evening life skills classes, child-enrichment activities, mentoring and resident-initiated leadership opportunities. In accepting applicants to our program, we ask only one thing of them: They must be committed to making changes in their lives. To remain in the program, they are expected to demonstrate consistent progress toward personal and economic self-sufficiency goals. Together, in partnership with parents and children, we are dedicated to pursuing their full potential.

The Gilpin Campus Early Learning Center PreK 2 classroom learned about Black inventor Elijah McCoy who invented lubrication systems for steam engines. Ms. Hazel has been teaching her class about Black inventors all month, making their inventions easy to understand, fun, and engaging for her young students. Our skilled and passionate Early Learning Center teachers bring creative curriculum to their classrooms with approachable lessons and follow up activities.

This year at the Warren Village at Ivy Crossing program, we are looking forward to continuing to support the community.? We provide children’s services through our Kids’ Club. Our food pantry continues to expand to combat food insecurity. Our community events offer programs and activities to both individuals and families who live here.? Additionally, through our growing network of community partnerships, we are able to facilitate connection to additional support resources here on site.? We are excited by the opportunity to build on the program base that we’ve established, and we anticipate growth in the level of services that we can provide through collaboration with our partners, staff, volunteers, and community.
