Warp is the intelligent terminal with AI and your team's dev knowledge built-in.
关于我们
At Warp we are working on a holistic rethink of how the command-line ought to work, building a new Rust-based terminal that keeps what’s best about the CLI while modernizing and upgrading the experience. It’s fully-native (Rust-based) and GPU-accelerated. Rather than a single buffer, we are dividing terminal output into a sequence of commands + their outputs that we call blocks. We are replacing the character buffer with a normal text editor and equipping it with intellisense-like autocomplete. Warp is modernizing the command line experience to make it more intuitive and collaborative for modern developers and teams, turning the terminal into a real platform to enable engineering workflows. Our mission is to elevate developer productivity, and the team is excited to have this opportunity to radically improve a tool that every developer uses and fundamentally change how software development and devops are done. We are a company run by product-first builders, building a core product for all developers. We are committed to understanding our users deeply. We believe we will ultimately build the best product and business if that team includes developers and designers from a wide range of backgrounds. The early team comes from Google, Dropbox, Gem, LinkedIn, and Facebook. We are looking for passionate individuals to join us and help bring Warp to the world.

Shoutout to our SWE Advait Maybhate and our PMM Melanie Crissey for repping Warp at All Things Open Conference ??
Seeking SWE Co-op/Full-time roles | Master of Computer Science @ NC State | Research Assistant @ GAEC Lab | Experience with React, Node.js, Java, Spring, AWS | Passionate about Cloud Computing & DevOps
?? First Tech Conference: All Things Open! ?? Just got back from an unforgettable experience at All Things Open Conference in Raleigh, my very first tech conference! I had the chance to dive deep into the world of open source, AI, and more. This event was a game-changer – I met so many industry experts, learned about cutting-edge products, and attended insightful sessions that have left me more inspired than ever. Here’s a quick rundown of my biggest takeaways: ? AWS & Open Source - I had the pleasure of discussing Amazon Web Services (AWS) Open Source programs with Curtis Evans and Chris Short. We went over various AWS services I’m currently using and discussed the tradeoffs involved in different solutions. It was eye-opening to explore the nuances behind the scenes! ? SourceGraph’s New AI Tool - Got introduced to SourceGraph’s latest AI-driven tool, which leverages the power of automation to enhance developer workflows. I can already see how this tool could transform code search and analysis across teams. ? AI-Assisted Terminal by Warp - Advait Maybhate showcased a powerful new AI-assisted terminal built with Rust! This terminal can create and save command histories, edit command texts similar to the normal text editor, and even respond to natural language prompts. It’s an exciting tool that could redefine productivity for developers everywhere. ? SurrealDB’s Multi-Model Database - I learned about SurrealDB from Ignacio Paz, which supports an impressive variety of database models—relational, NoSQL, graph, columnar, and more—all in one. It’s a versatile approach that I’m excited to explore further. ? Authorization with Permit.io - The team of Permit.io walked me through their intuitive UI for managing authorization. Their approach to simplifying access control through a visually engaging interface makes it so much easier for developers to implement and manage permissions. Apart from these insightful conversations, I also connected with professionals from Capital One, MongoDB, OutSystems, Google, FerretDB, Fidelity Investments, Intuit, Oracle MySQL, Krumware, Tailscale, New Relic, HeroDevs, Splunk, Percona and many more. ?? Talk on Firebase Genkit - I also attended an insightful talk by Chris Gill on “Introducing Firebase Genkit: Add AI-powered Features to Your Node.js or Go Backend.” Chris demonstrated building AI-powered backends with LLMs, testing and debugging RAG scenarios, and deploying self-hosted models – a truly powerful toolkit for developers! A big thank you to Hedera for sponsoring my ticket! I’m immensely grateful for this opportunity to build connections, expand my knowledge, and learn from some of the best in the tech industry. Looking forward to more conferences, more connections, and more learning! ?? #AllThingsOpen #TechConference #Networking #OpenSource #AWS #SurrealDB #SourceGraph #PermitIO #FirebaseGenkit #AI #Hedera #LLM #CareerGrowth #SoftwareEngineering #DataEngineering

Super belated, but I participated in HackHarvard 2024! I’m thrilled to announce that our team won the Best Developer Tool Track, competing against over 500 participants. HUGE shoutout to my team Timur Takhtarov, Emaan Khan, and Pratik Paudel, and Advait Maybhate from Warp for his words of wisdom. We built T-Error, a tool that compiles the elusive errors that developers run into in their terminal. Using C++, React, Node, and MongoDB, T-Error aims to revolutionize error tracking and real time data visualization. Difficult != pro. Too often, the complexity of devtools gets in the way of shipping good software quickly. Warp’s mission is to empower developers through intelligent, intuitive software. Here’s my take on Warp’s ethos of shipping software that makes it easier for devs to excel. https://lnkd.in/e6YNvN6W

Congrats on winning our "Best Developer Tool", Karolina Dubiel!
This past weekend, I competed at Hack the North, Canada's largest hackathon, with 1000+ other students! I had an absolute blast and took home the Warp “Best Developer Tool” Challenge award?? My team (consisting of the amazing and talented Zachary Levesque, Kevin Li, and Bhav Grewal) and I created APIcasso (https://lnkd.in/gApMeV75), a web app designed to scrape any website and turn it into an API using custom Chrome drivers, Selenium, and Cohere's API. I learned SO much about fullstack development, Git, networking, and how to function on 2 hours of sleep (???). I'd like to deeply thank: - Maggie S. and Hong Yi C., the Warp judges, for believing in our product and vision. - James Kokoska and all of the other hackathon mentors for helping us mold our idea into a feasible software. - My amazing team, for their patience, talent, and willingness to share and exchange knowledge. - The entire Hack the North organizing team, especially Rick Liu, for putting together this incredible event and ensuring we travel safely. ... and so many more wonderful humans who I had the honor of meeting this weekend! More hackathons coming soon, definitely... ??
