Warp is the terminal with AI and your team's dev knowledge built-in
关于我们
At Warp we are working on a holistic rethink of how the command-line ought to work, building a new Rust-based terminal that keeps what’s best about the CLI while modernizing and upgrading the experience. It’s fully-native (Rust-based) and GPU-accelerated. Rather than a single buffer, we are dividing terminal output into a sequence of commands + their outputs that we call blocks. We are replacing the character buffer with a normal text editor and equipping it with intellisense-like autocomplete. Warp is modernizing the command line experience to make it more intuitive and collaborative for modern developers and teams, turning the terminal into a real platform to enable engineering workflows. Our mission is to elevate developer productivity, and the team is excited to have this opportunity to radically improve a tool that every developer uses and fundamentally change how software development and devops are done. We are a company run by product-first builders, building a core product for all developers. We are committed to understanding our users deeply. We believe we will ultimately build the best product and business if that team includes developers and designers from a wide range of backgrounds. The early team comes from Google, Dropbox, Gem, LinkedIn, and Facebook. We are looking for passionate individuals to join us and help bring Warp to the world.

When I started contributing to open source, I quickly realized not everyone feels comfortable working with CLI tools. I even met developers with years of experience who still found git challenging. But I think that's going to change with AI-powered tools. For the past few months, I've been using Warp terminal, and it's a great example of how AI can assist developers, not by replacing us, but by helping us focus on what really matters. Whether it’s for collaboration, researching commands, or debugging, Warp is impressive. I recently shared a video about my terminal setup and a deep dive into Warp’s features. Huge shoutout to Warp for collaborating with me on this project, but honestly, I don’t see myself going back to iTerm anytime soon. What about you? Have you tried Warp or any AI-driven terminal tools? Let me know your thoughts. Resources in the comments below ??

Congrats on winning our "Best Developer Tool", Karolina Dubiel!
This past weekend, I competed at Hack the North, Canada's largest hackathon, with 1000+ other students! I had an absolute blast and took home the Warp “Best Developer Tool” Challenge award?? My team (consisting of the amazing and talented Zachary Levesque, Kevin Li, and Bhav Grewal) and I created APIcasso (https://lnkd.in/gApMeV75), a web app designed to scrape any website and turn it into an API using custom Chrome drivers, Selenium, and Cohere's API. I learned SO much about fullstack development, Git, networking, and how to function on 2 hours of sleep (???). I'd like to deeply thank: - Maggie S. and Hong Yi C., the Warp judges, for believing in our product and vision. - James Kokoska and all of the other hackathon mentors for helping us mold our idea into a feasible software. - My amazing team, for their patience, talent, and willingness to share and exchange knowledge. - The entire Hack the North organizing team, especially Rick Liu, for putting together this incredible event and ensuring we travel safely. ... and so many more wonderful humans who I had the honor of meeting this weekend! More hackathons coming soon, definitely... ??
