We were thrilled to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Townstead Apartments Expansion at Homestead Village, which includes a 6-story, 73-unit apartment building designed to integrate seamlessly into the Homestead Village Enhanced Senior Living Community. This expansion, expected to be completed in Spring 2026, represents a step forward in the ongoing efforts to enhance the HV community. Our team recently completed the first phase of the Commons Renovations and Addition project, which is located just a short walk from the new apartments. These renovations include a beautiful revamp of the main lobby, resident gathering spaces, and a new salon. Project update from Penn Medicine LGH Lancaster General Health Physicians Centerville: This new medical facility, which will offer both family medicine and specialty medicine services, is almost ready, with completion scheduled for next month. Last week, we added a touch of nature by planting trees around the perimeter. We were thrilled to celebrate the completion of Phase II of the Swarthmore Dining and Community Commons projects with our friends at Swarthmore College! This project, set out in two phases, first saw the creation of a brand-new 40,000 square-foot dining facility with 800 seats, completed in Fall 2022. Phase II involved a 33,000 square-foot transformation of the existing Sharples Hall into what is now the vibrant Sharples Commons. This space has been transformed into a student center lounge, a versatile event space, a welcoming café, functional office areas, and reservable spaces for clubs and gatherings. The Sharples Dining Hall has long been a central part of student life at Swarthmore, and we are excited for the Swarthmore community to now enjoy these renovated spaces for many years to come. We were honored to attend yesterday's ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of the Southwood Children's Behavioral Healthcare hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. This three-story addition, which will add 66,371 square feet and 108 beds to the existing hospital, will provide comprehensive, age-specific care to children and adolescents facing emotional, behavioral, developmental, and cognitive challenges for years to come. Partnering with Acadia on this project underscores our commitment to supporting our community's youth and building facilities that help advance access to mental health services.
