关于我们
Ward's Marine Electric is a third generation family-owned and operated business dedicated to providing for the electrical needs of the recreational marine industry. Over the decades our hard work and professionalism have been rewarded well beyond the modest expectations of our founders. We have come to be recognized, by owners and captains alike, as the yachting world's premier provider of electrical parts and service. Our mission now is to maintain that proud position, and to continue to earn the respect of those who have come to depend on us here at home in South Florida, and in ports of call around the globe.

The Wards team, in collaboration with the Marine Industry Association of South Florida, had the privilege of meeting with representatives from the Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce in Miami and the SET Group, a Taiwanese media organization. This gathering celebrated the sister city relationship between Fort Lauderdale and Kaohsiung, Taiwan, which has thrived since 2008. The initial connection aimed to enhance collaboration between Taiwan's yacht builders and the diverse businesses in Fort Lauderdale that contribute to the yachting industry. During this meeting, the group engaged in discussions to explore further opportunities for ongoing partnership and engagement.

This week, in celebration of International Women’s Day, President and CEO Kristina Hebert participated as a panelist at Yacht Femme's virtual event titled "She Leads: Breaking Entrepreneurial Barriers." During the "Defining Leadership Style" session, Kristina shared insights into her leadership approach. She reflected on the invaluable experiences she gained while learning and mentoring with her grandfather, the founder of Wards Marine Electric, and her father, who is the former president and current chairman of the board. Kristina expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside her family and highlighted the blessing it has been to spend her life immersed in the yachting industry. When discussing the challenges of leadership, she asserted that the key to avoiding missteps is to be a good listener. As she puts it, "The only way a leader makes a bad choice is by not listening, not communicating, and not following your gut." Understanding her team and knowing how to inspire and support them are central to her leadership philosophy. In response to questions about setbacks and moving forward, Kristina stressed the importance of perseverance. She advised, "If you fall, get back up; if you don’t succeed, keep trying. Find a way!" When her team faces discouragement, she believes "a strong leader has to show the path forward." Kristina had the opportunity to engage with several influential leaders in the industry, gaining valuable insights from their perspectives on marketing, leadership, and maintaining a work-life balance. Notably, Megan Legasse shared her thoughts on leadership, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and growth throughout one’s journey. The Wards team felt honored to be part of an event highlighting?the powerful voices of women shaping the industry while nurturing a supportive community. A heartfelt "thank you" goes to Andrea Tagliaferro for making this participation possible! #wardsway #marineelectrical #yachting #internationalwomensday #leadership
