Building Communities, Empowering People // Made in the Pacific Northwest ??

关于我们

Made in the Pacific Northwest. Founded in 1961 by brothers Tom and Bob Walsh, Walsh Construction Co. (Walsh) is a Pacific Northwest general contractor headquartered in Portland, Oregon with offices in Seattle, Tacoma, and Vancouver, Washington. Working with organizations that make fundamental contributions to the community has always been at the heart of our business--we are committed to understanding and supporting our clients' missions. We are a local leader in multi-family and affordable housing construction. Walsh’s areas of expertise also include; mixed-use; student and market-rate housing; healthcare; hospitality; and education. We have an exceptional level of expertise in wood-framed buildings, as well as a broad spectrum of other construction types, including concrete, structural steel, mass timber (CLT) and modular construction. Walsh is committed to diversity within our own ranks, and with our business and trade partners. Internally, we build a culture of community and inclusion for our employees, one where they are empowered to demonstrate our company value of generosity by giving back to the broader community. We are passionate about building responsibly for a sustainable future and in the delivery of high-performance, green buildings. We place a high priority on creating healthy, durable and highly energy-efficient buildings, understanding that a building which uses less energy will reduce environmental impacts and operating costs. We are about the marathon, not the sprint—we understand that partnership and innovation takes time through investment in people and ideas.

A huge round of congratulations are in order! ?? Since joining Walsh's Portland office in 2015, Kim has grown her expertise managing tenant improvements, occupied residential, higher ed, and commercial projects for the company. This has further developed into our Special Projects Group, created, managed, and led by Kim, where she deftly tackles projects from our long-time clients, and develops relationships with new clients, alongside her team of construction professionals. It's through this dedication to her work and our client's satisfaction that she has been promoted to Senior Project Manager. Three cheers for Kim as she continues her exemplary work! ?? #empoweringpeople #walshcofamily

Removing scaffolding from an occupied construction site is no small task, especially when it involves seniors. With meticulous planning, precise coordination, and a steadfast focus on safety, our amazing project team — Aaron E., Richard Stephensen, Cody Pronozuk, and Sara Schubert — has gone above and beyond to ensure a smooth process with minimal disruption for residents. From detailed scheduling to clear communication, their hard work and professionalism have set a new standard for construction in sensitive, occupied environments. We’re proud to be part of the revitalization of Olive Plaza Apartments, a 150-unit affordable housing community for seniors and individuals with disabilities in Eugene. Led by HumanGood and Beacon Development Group, and designed by BDA Architecture and Planning, P.C., this project focuses on preserving critical housing infrastructure while breathing new life into the building. Big thanks to our trusted partners who made this possible: ?? Interior Painting: WPI ?? HVAC: Harvey & Price ?? Plumbing: Twin Rivers ?? Electrical: M&W Electric ?? Unit Casework: Best Cabinets ?? Countertops: Pacific NW Marble & Granite ?? Flooring: Ultra Quiet Flooring ?? Windows & WRB Install: RDF ?? Special appreciation to the RDF BUILDERS CO team for their expertise and dedication: Mark Pollard – General Foreman Josh Jolley – Site Laborer Adam Tillman – Skin Dr. Joseph Feldeshi – Window/WRB Foreman Thank you all for your hard work and commitment to excellence — together, we’ve shown how construction can prioritize safety, comfort, and efficiency! #walshbuildscommunity #occupiedconstruction #safetyalways

We recently had the opportunity to tour the Hillside Park Redevelopment in Milwaukie, a transformative project for Related Northwest and the Housing Authority of Clackamas County. This redevelopment will bring 275 units of affordable family and supportive housing, replacing a 1940s public housing project with a vibrant, walkable, amenity-rich, master-planned community! More than housing, this project will provide essential resident services through Impact NW, Unite Oregon, and Community Vision, Inc., creating a thriving and supportive environment for families. A huge thank you to our dedicated Walsh team — Dan Snow, Bennett Barnwell, Brandon Fassiotto, Mario Hernandez, John Hardesty, Elizabeth Stewart, Micah Gibson, and Caitlin Kelley — for leading the charge in delivering these incredible homes to the community! #walshbuildscommunity #affordableliving #affordablehousing #supportivehousing

Dedicated to serving houseless elders and BIPOC individuals, this transformative project will stand as Oregon’s tallest mass timber structure. By integrating affordable housing with comprehensive support services, the Julia West House will set a new benchmark for sustainable, community-focused living. Many thanks to our Walsh team for hosting the tour! The Julia West House exemplifies the exceptional skill and precision of our team, who are expertly managing construction on a compact 5,000 SF site in Downtown Portland. A special shoutout to our Walsh and RDF teams — including Ed Sloop, Brian Layman, Bryan Ware, Sarah Stein, Hunter Lundmark, Cole Boster, Caitlin Kelley, Sara Schubert, Paul Nicholls, Chuck Howard, Nick Leeding, Kyle Carter, Jake LaManna, and many others — for their unwavering dedication to delivering this groundbreaking project that fosters stability, sustainability, and community! A huge congratulations and thank you to Central City Concern on the grand opening of Meridian Gardens ! This Halloween-themed celebration, complete with festive costumes, delicious tacos, and lively music from Conjunto Alegre, brought together over 100 community members, partners, and officials to welcome 85 new affordable homes that will make a lasting impact on the lives of some of the region’s most vulnerable residents. Meridian Gardens is more than just housing — it’s a supportive community designed for individuals in addiction recovery, especially those exiting or at risk of homelessness. Thanks to Metro’s affordable housing bond and supportive housing funds, these homes offer not only stability but also comprehensive, culturally specific wrap-around services and peer support. Federal rent assistance vouchers and referrals from Central City Concern’s Puentes and River Haven recovery programs will ensure residents get the resources they need to thrive. A huge thank you to Ankrom Moisan for their collaboration and to our outstanding Walsh team — Dan Snow, Meghan Herteg, Steffen Schulz, Ronnie Rust, Mike Lundmark, Manny Marin, Linda Woolery, Caitlin Kelley, Jake LaManna, and Kaydee Kreitlow, AIA — for their unwavering dedication and hard work. Special shout-out to our craftspeople at RDF BUILDERS CO for their teamwork, resilience, and creativity. Each of you has brought exceptional skill, commitment, and passion to this project, ensuring every detail meets our high standards. Congratulations to Central City Concern on this inspiring achievement, and thank you for your unwavering dedication to community-centered solutions! #walshbuildscommunity #supportivehousing #communitybuilders

As spooky season winds down, we’re still feeling the spirit! ?? This year, Walsh hosted a costume contest in Oregon and a pumpkin carving showdown in Washington! In Oregon, the costume contest winners took the prize with a nod to a local legend (iykyk), and in Washington, Project Engineer Hayley Penning got best in show for her hobbit house pumpkin ?? (honorable mention to John Lennox’s Pinocchio for Most Creative). Thank you to our wonderful HR department who made spooky season so memorable! They even brought their spirit to some of our jobsites, passing out candy and cheer. Until next year!
