Walsh Kokosing Joint Venture Team believes engaging with local, #diverse businesses benefits their projects and the #communities in which they do business, including the Brent Spence Bridge. With that said, we want to be sure you are aware of an opportunity involving the bridge project. Walsh/Kokosing has issued an RFP for Mussel Relocation. The contractor shall be a qualified malacologist as described in the Ohio Mussel Survey Protocol for mussel relocation. The contractor shall be responsible for, but not limited to the following. 1. Physical reconnaissance of the areas that may be impacted. 2. Survey and relocation plan development from concept to approval. 3. Relocation effort via SCUBA/supplied air and support vessels. A momentous visit with our nation's federal transportation leaders in Washington, DC! The Walsh Group's Marvin Jackson, CCA had the opportunity to meet with the U.S. Department of Transportation's Director of the Office of Civil Rights Irene M. and U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg to discuss the recent finalized ruling that's impacting Disadvantaged Business certifications.
