Special shoutout to our #ArcherWestern Georgia team members and friends from #GilleyConstruction who went above and beyond to collect and deliver essential items for hurricane relief efforts in Asheville, NC. The food, water, drinks, generators, baby supplies, cleaning supplies, clothes, shoes, blankets, animal feed, and hay will all help the communities devastated by the floods following Hurricane Helene. Their dedication and compassion truly embody the spirit of teamwork and community. Items were collected by the Archer Western and E.R. Snell Contractor, Inc. team at I-285/I-20 East Interchange outside of Atlanta, and driven to the #ArcherWestern-Wright Brothers Construction Company, Inc. yard in Asheville.

Flyover updates from the Tri-Town Regional Water Treatment Plant in Braintree, Massachusetts: We are nearing completion of the installation of the 24” HDPE subaqueous pipelines, which will deliver treated water from the regional water treatment plant to the towns of Randolph and Halbrook across the Great Pond Reservoir. Both water mains share the same profile while maintaining a minimum separation of 5 feet center to center. Crews are currently filling the pipes with water to secure them in place. Structure work is also progressing with the installation of roof joists and decking for the two main structures: the Water Treatment Plant and the Finish Water Pump Station. Simultaneously, we are also progressing with the installation of process piping within the treatment plant. #WalshAtWork #WaterTreatmentPlant #PFASremoval #WalshConstruction

Archer Western has completed EPCOR's new Copper Basin Water Reclamation Facility in San Tan Valley, Arizona. We recently celebrated the opening of the 3 MGD wastewater treatment facility that will treat domestic, industrial and commercial waste prior to discharge. The fully-enclosed facility contains state-of-the-art odor control equipment, extensive systems to monitor conditions and other important design features, and the treated water will be distributed to recharge the basins or for beneficial reuse. #WalshAtWork #wastewatertreatment

The first of several hundred truckloads of local steel are starting to arrive on site for the new Beacon Health System Memorial Hospital Patient Tower in South Bend, Indiana. Celebrating the completion of Phase 2 expansion upgrades at the Fowler Water Reclamation Facility in southwest Forsyth County, Georgia! #ArcherWestern joined Forsyth County officials, ESG Engineering, Inc. and Inframark to unveil the wastewater treatment plant's upgrades from 5 MGD to 7.5 MGD, which provides a critical boost to the county’s infrastructure. Key improvements to the facility include, upgrade of the influent pump station, addition of two membrane bioreactor (MBR) tanks, construction of a new chemical facility and upgrades to existing systems and equipment. “These upgrades allow the facility to continue to meet our growing needs and provide high quality effluent; reliably and efficiently,” said Forsyth County Water & Sewer Director Scott Adams. “We are very pleased the nearly two-year construction project was completed on schedule and within budget.”

???: Chicago's Historic Lawson House Renovated into 400+ Affordable Apartment Units Project leaders from #WalshConstruction, Farr Associates Architecture & Urban Design and Holsten Human Capital Development, NFP offer their thoughts on the historic renovation of America's largest single-room occupancy (SRO) building and its ultimate delivery back to Lawson House residents. The $128 million Lawson House renovation modernizes and preserves the affordable apartment units within the historic Art Deco building. Walsh Construction worked with Holsten Real Estate Development and Holsten Human Capital to rehabilitate the 200,000-square-foot, 24-story structure, transforming the building’s 583 single-room occupancy units into over 400 affordable apartment units with private kitchens and bathrooms.
