Our district works closely with tribal nations to uphold shared values of environmental stewardship and sustainable water resource management. From protecting cultural resources to advancing habitat restoration projects, these collaborations are central to our mission. ?? Highlighting Partnerships: Our District works closely with tribal partners everyday. Safeguarding America's Waterways Invasive species like quagga mussels pose a significant threat to America's waterways, ecosystems, and infrastructure. These tiny invaders can clog water intakes, disrupt ecosystems, and create costly challenges for dam operations and recreation. On November 5-7, Walla Walla District hosted regional partners in a workshop to discuss and strategize prevention and eradication measures for aquatic invasive species, such as the quagga mussels, located in Idaho. By working with regional partners, monitoring vulnerable areas, and educating the public, we’re helping to preserve the health and sustainability of our waterways. #USACEpartners
