We had the honor of being able to join Chandler/Gilbert Community College for their Speed Networking Event ?? they held last Thursday.?This event is geared towards young students pursuing careers in Business and Computer Information Technology.?Eric Rogina, MBA, our Director of Client Services and Operations, and Lyn Maszk, our Audit Manager, were able to attend the event and they came away with a very positive experience: Lyn: “What a great event! Spending over 30 years as an accountant, it was exciting to be able to speak with students who are just starting to think about their own careers as business professionals. As a former community college instructor, having the opportunity to represent Walker & Armstrong on CGCC’s campus was a true pleasure. The conversations during each round of networking were a wonderful reminder of why I love my chosen field.” Eric: “It was great to meet with young aspiring professionals, who were eager to connect the classroom to the real-life business setting. The classroom only takes the accounting profession so far, which is why this event is so important to students!
