???? We loved partnering with our friends at Menashe Properties, Inc. and the talented team at Fluent Design on this 12th-floor tenant suite renovation. Together, we more than doubled the number of offices and conference rooms. The result? A workspace that significantly enhances privacy and productivity. Flooded with natural light, the new layout feels warm and welcoming. And the views of downtown Portland—simply stunning in every direction. Our team carefully maintained the building’s aesthetic. Custom wood-mitered doors and frames are a signature building standard. Whether reusing original pieces or crafting new ones, preserving this timeless look is always a priority. Details like these add unique personality and character you won't find just anywhere. We're proud of our team for bringing this modern yet timeless space to life. Project complete! ?? Walen Construction is proud to have delivered a nearly 12,000 SF office renovation for Vista Capital Partners in Beaverton, OR. Partnering with LRS Architects, Inc. and Cushman & Wakefield, we expanded Vista Capital Partner's footprint into an adjacent suite, transforming their space into a bright, modern, and inviting workplace. This full-scope renovation touched nearly every aspect of the space—new interior partitions, casework, MEP, and high-end finishes throughout. The refreshed office features sleek natural accents, contemporary lighting, and light airy details foster collaboration. A standout feature is the kitchen lounge with booth seating, complemented by additional private offices and hoteling spaces for flexible daily use. A big thank you to our project team and industry partners for their hard work and collaboration in making this build a success—another quality project in the books!

When you move your shop into a big empty warehouse, there’s only one thing to do—build it out! ??♂??? At Walen Construction, we don’t just build for our clients—we build for ourselves, too. Over the past few weeks, our team has been self-performing the buildout of our new office and shop space, with the help of a few specialty subcontractors to tackle the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) scopes. This includes framing and finishing two private offices, cutting in and installing a new overhead door for streamlined deliveries, and ensuring the layout maximizes both functionality and workflow efficiency. With our expertise in commercial construction, we’re making this space work for us—just like we do for our clients every day!

Our team delivered another top-tier tenant improvement, this time for Milworks, in Portland’s 11W Tower—their second location in the country! ???? This 1,700 sq. ft. retail space is a perfect reflection of our beloved Pacific Northwest aesthetic—timeless, earthy, and built to last.?Our scope included new display walls, built-in benches in the fitting rooms, a bit of restroom and baseboard work, as well as fresh paint and carefully placed lighting to highlight the store's signature look. A huge thank you to Scott Edwards Architecture and KPFF Consulting Engineers for their expertise, as well as our incredible team of subcontractors and vendor partners—your dedication and craftsmanship helped bring this project to life! ??

Revitalizing spaces, inspiring style—2nd Street Clothing is open for expression! We’re excited to share the completion of 2nd Street Clothing, a second-hand clothing store located on SW Washington St. in downtown Portland. Offering a great selection of designer, vintage, and trendy pieces, it’s a fresh addition to the local community. This 3,600 sqft project may have been compact, but our scope touched nearly every trade. From signage to electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and everything in between, no detail was overlooked. Retail spaces are unique, where finish work and lighting truly set the tone. We’re proud to have collaborated with J.T. Nakaoka Associates Architects and T/E/S Engineering to bring this vibrant space to life for the community! Swing by and check out the store – you might just find your new favorite piece. ?????
