ShopRite is proud to team up with Cheez-It? to help local teachers and students with a $50,000 donation this fall to the College Football Playoff Foundation's Extra Yard for Teachers initiative, which ensures teachers have the tools they need for the classroom. Five $10,000 donations will be provided at ShopRite stores across the region, so schools in different communities receive extra support. Fighting hunger is at the heart of Price Rite Marketplace’s charitable giving. ?? In that spirit, team members from Massachusetts participated in The Greater Boston Food Bank's annual "Chain of Giving" for neighbors in need. ?? Standing side-by-side with other volunteers, Price Rite team members helped unload nearly 4,000 turkeys, ensuring families across Eastern Massachusetts can enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Thank you to all the Price Rite associates who are spreading holiday cheer both in-store and in the communities we serve.

Located at 333 North Bedford Road, the new store replaced the nearby ShopRite of Bedford Hills. The 74,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art supermarket features expanded services, chef prepared to-go meals, smart shopping carts and a wide variety of fresh foods. The third-generation family-owned business just completed a six-month-long transformation of the store. Customers are loving the fresh modern design and expanded selections of organic produce and authentic international products, a full-service deli with made-to-order sandwiches, and a variety of freshly prepared grab-and-go meals made in-store. Congratulations to Wakefern Member Inserra Supermarkets on the grand opening of The Fresh Grocer in Ringwood, NJ! ?? To mark the opening of the new store at 130 Skyline Drive in Fieldstone Plaza, the Inserra family presented $10,000 to the Community FoodBank of NJ and made a Thanksgiving donation to the Ringwood Center for Family Resources. The new Fresh Grocer features fresh prepared foods, groceries and locally sourced produce, a full-service butcher with custom cut meat, a from-scratch bakery, fresh to-go meals and more! The Fresh Grocer of Fieldstone Plaza is the first for Inserra Supermarkets, which operates 23 ShopRites in New Jersey and New York, and two Price Rite Marketplace stores in New Jersey.

Wakefern Member Mannix Family Supermarkets hosted its 17th annual #Thanksgiving donation event yesterday. ?? ?? The Mannix family and the ShopRite of Hylan Plaza team donated thousands in ShopRite gift cards to representatives from Staten Island food pantries and community organizations to help people in need across the borough. We are #thankful for Mannix Family Supermarkets and all our Wakefern cooperative members, retail teams and customers for their generosity as we work together to fight hunger this holiday season.

What an inspirational afternoon at the Community FoodBank of New Jersey's annual Women Fighting Hunger Luncheon today! Members of Wakefern's Communications Division joined women in leadership from across the state — all to reinforce their commitment to raising funds and awareness around hunger-related issues. Maureen Gillespie, Corporate Communications Lead at Wakefern, was one of many who spoke about the importance of purposeful action and connections when addressing hunger. With nearly 1 million New Jerseyans suffering food insecurity, Wakefern was proud to sponsor this incredibly impactful fundraiser and help families in need.
