We are accepting submissions of 400 words or less, for 10- or 20-minute presentations, workshops, and poster presentations. The deadline for submissions is October 25, 2024. Presentations must be on topics related to the One Health, Zoonotic, and Vector-borne disease theme. The conference will be held on March 26-27 at Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA. The One Health Conference provides an opportunity for people across the state to network and share ideas on issues at the human, animal, and environmental interface. All presenters are required to attend the free event in person. I am SO excited to announce the launch of our next three #PFAS Basics YouTube videos! These videos cover: ?? Steps you can take lower your exposure to PFAS in consumer products. ?? Steps Washington has already taken to keep products containing PFAS and other toxic chemicals from being sold in our state (shoutout to our partners at Washington State Department of Ecology for their incredible work, leadership, and partnership with Washington State Department of Health on the Safer Products for Washington program!) This announcement also comes with huge congratulations and kudos to my intern, Marissa Hager, who wrote the scripts and animation plans for these videos for her MPH practicum. These videos were no small task to organize and write, and were easily the most challenging we've tackled. Marissa (an aspiring #healtheducator) absolutely rose to the occasion and delivered, incorporating feedback from community members to ensure these videos matched their lived experiences and were actionable.
