Increasing equity and economic opportunity in the Washington, D.C. area's underserved communities.
关于我们
Since 1987, the Washington Area Community Investment Fund (Wacif) has driven equity and economic opportunity in underinvested communities throughout the Greater Washington D.C. region by investing knowledge, social, and financial capital in low- and moderate-income (LMI) entrepreneurs. Wacif’s mission is driven by three strategic pillars: inclusive entrepreneurship, community wealth building, and equitable economic development. Since its inception, Wacif has deployed over $100 million in capital, supported over 5,000 disadvantaged entrepreneurs with technical assistance, and helped create or retain 44,000 local jobs. Wacif targets its investments in alignment with its mission: 85% of clientele are minority business owners, over half are women, and 80% are LMI.

As we close out an incredible year, I’m filled with gratitude for the amazing team I have the honor of leading. This year has been a testament to the power of teamwork, passion, and purpose. Together, we’ve achieved so much, empowering entrepreneurs and supporting our clients in meaningful ways. At the heart of what we do is a commitment to care—not just for the success of our clients but for their well-being and journey as they pursue their dreams. That same care is reflected in the dedication of my team, whose passion inspires me daily. As we reflect on this year and look forward to the next, I am reminded of the impact we can make when we lead with purpose and compassion. As I always say "Teamwork makes the dream work". Wishing you all a joyous holiday season and a bright, prosperous new year! ?? #Teamwork #Entrepreneurship #PassionInAction #HappyHolidays Washington Area Community Investment Fund, Inc.
