We had so much fun last week at Civic Theater for a special movie night! ?????? The Greater Lafayette Civic Theater hosted a special screening of "Out Of My Mind," a film starring Phoebe Rae Taylor, a disabled and nonverbal actress that uses a communication device to speak, and Jenifer Aniston, who voices over her internal monologue. Thank you to our friends at Civic Theater for hosting such a fun event! ?? "Out Of My Mind" is now streaming on Disney+ ??

Our new gardening program is growing strong! ???? Individuals in our Day Services and Enrichment Services have been growing plants from seed indoors with our brand-new tower gardens! These plants can be harvested in the winter, or moved outside to our main vegetable garden in late spring. Kylee Pennington, our Youth Services Program Manager, oversaw the rollout of this project in partnership with 21 Petals Flower Farm. ????

We're so excited to introduce our new pre-vocational program: Catalyst! ???? Individuals in Catalyst can learn important workplace skills that will help them find jobs out in the community. One of our favorite workplace skill opportunities is Grounds for Growth: a new cafe located at our Main Campus where individuals in Catalyst can work alongside DSPs and learn how to operate a fully-functioning coffee shop! ??? While the cafe is not open to the public, employees and individuals served at Wabash Center can enjoy freshly brewed coffee made with love from the team at Grounds For Growth.
