In case you hadn't heard, our 2024 Year in Review Newsletter is out! On the East County Water Advanced Water Purification Project, W. M. Lyles Co. is leveraging advanced technology to produce a drought resilient drinking water supply from purified recycled water. Package #1 and Package #3 entail the construction of a 16 MGD (million gallons per day) Water Reclamation Facility and a 12.5 MGD Advanced Water Purification Facility and are on track for on time completion! The Root Creek Water District Groundwater Blending and Arsenic Treatment Project is on track for an August 2025 completion. This facility is designed to blend groundwater with imported surface water, effectively reducing arsenic concentrations and improving water quality for residents! The City of Stockton Regional Wastewater Facilities Project, has the capacity to treat 55 million gallons of sewage per day. The facility serves approximately 116,000 sewer connections in Stockton and nearby areas, processing an average of 33 million gallons of wastewater daily! W. M. Lyles Co. is deeply saddened to share the news of Bill Lyles' passing on March 26, 2025, at the age of 91. Bill's legacy is deeply woven into the fabric of our company. From his early days as a welder's helper at age 13, to his visionary leadership after his father's passing, he shaped W. M. Lyles Co. into what it is today. His guiding principle, "risk the branch but not the trunk," and his belief in the "Joy of Building," as shared in his memoir, will continue to inspire us. Beyond our company, Bill's dedication to the Fresno community, his support of STEM education through the Lyles School of Engineering at Fresno State, and his passion for the arts, particularly music, have left an indelible mark. His greatest joy, his beloved wife Anne, exemplified a lifetime of love and commitment. We are grateful for Bill's leadership, his wisdom, and the countless lives he touched. His legacy will live on through our work, our values, and the enduring spirit of W. M. Lyles Co.

Lyles Co. made history by completing Europe's first major pipeline, a 235-mile feat of engineering that transformed energy infrastructure across the continent. This pioneering project, though challenging, demonstrated our company's commitment to innovation, technical expertise, and advancing global progress. While environmental considerations were not as prominent in the 1950s as they are today, this project laid the groundwork for more efficient and reliable energy transportation, contributing to a more sustainable energy future.
