Happy day-early anniversary, Lindsey Undlin, on the release of STOLEN! On March 22, 2022, this creative teen author published the first book in her YA fiction “Priders” series about Cali Horn: https://shorturl.at/2pGeg. Cali is the new kid in Swallowsville, a picturesque small town known as “Basketball Central” of North Dakota. From its quaint boutiques and cafés on Main Street to its diverse neighborhoods, no one would dream of what goes on once the gym lights go out. But Swallowsville is a town where what you see isn’t always what you get – and where Cali becomes involved in situations she is unprepared for. In SPIRAL, the second in Lindey’s gripping murder mystery series, readers follow the ongoing high school struggles of Cali: https://shorturl.at/O7Y36. Read both to find out if Cali finds the truth behind the dark underbelly of this “picture perfect” town and its residents! #YAFiction #ThePriders #BookSeries

Reviews of David P. Wichman’s latest book, THE FOUR ROOMS: An InQueery on Sexual Freedom and Well-being, are rolling in: ?? “For those of us to find comfort and compartmentalization, sometimes we get stuck between the different rooms in our head — David provides a useful and relatable approach to exploring these segments within ourselves and using them to your advantage. This is the perfect follow up to Every Grain of Sand, because we have an understanding of the author's journey and how useful these tools would be for anyone who can relate.” ?? “David's storytelling is bold and his insights are thought-provoking. He opens up a much-needed conversation about identity and intimacy, making these books a must-read for anyone interested in exploring the journey of sexual freedom and personal growth. Highly recommend!” Needed now more than ever, David’s book invites readers to make space for the parts of themselves that may be undiscovered or exiled by guilt and societal conditioning, encouraging curiosity, compassion, and the possibility of embracing one’s whole sexual self. Through candid storytelling and reflective practices,?The Four Rooms?offers an empowering framework for navigating the complexities of sexuality with openness and courage. It’s a compelling invitation to confront, and question our beliefs, and?rediscover the richness of sexual freedom: https://shorturl.at/9eWpi. How can leaders know if their team is strong? If their team is truly unstoppable? Read this real-life scenario from THE FIXER: Forging Unstoppable Teams’ author, military service member, and business leader Tauni Crefeld: “When I was tasked with fixing a broken team, I used both objective measures as well as subjective criteria to determine if the team was strong enough yet, or if I still had additional repairs to make. “One of the hardest jobs in my career as a ‘fixer’ was taking over a team where the work wasn’t getting completed, everyone was escalating and blaming everyone else, and everyone was miserable. The recovery was especially hard because my company was relying on a subsidiary company (SubCo) for a lot of the work, and there was a rift a mile wide between the SubCo and my company. I had to rebuild the team as ‘one team’ and create a whole new culture, while also repairing the rift with the clients and getting the work done. “To determine if we had become an unstoppable team, I judged the team by the following criteria. Does the team: - Meet the milestones/commitments - Fire on all cylinders (feel frictionless; everyone knows their roles, no bottlenecks) - Feel like a family (Note: this must come organically from the team, not the leader telling the team ‘they’re a family’). “Whether we were achieving our milestones was an objective criteria, easy to measure. For the last two criteria, I asked several members of the team for their input, on a 0-to-100 scale. I asked people on the team at random, month over month, to determine if we were making progress. Their subjective ratings slowly increased from the 40s to the 70s. “Several months later, we had a team party celebrating the completion of one of the major releases. When karaoke started after dinner, one woman from the SubCo started grabbing the other women across levels and companies and got us to sing, ‘We Are Family.’ (I’m not making that up!) At the after-after party, at about 2 a.m., about 15 of us were crowded around a table. We were all hanging out and talking. A SubCo team member snapped a few pictures and sent them out the next day with ‘Family’ as the subject line. There were people of every level, gender, age, and technology background, from both my company and the SubCo around that table. “We had finally achieved the team I wanted.” Read more about what it took to fix that and similar projects in Tauni’s groundbreaking book available from our Mil.Space Books division: https://shorturl.at/oqgFb. #MilSpaceBooks #TheFixer #TeamBuilding
