Thanks to Kane Simms and VUX World I'm now trained in Service Design ????? But why? Because AI is only one way to solve a problem ?? When considering AI, your use case has to play to AI's strengths, otherwise you might only be adding to the great digi-waste dustbin in the sky. Once you have a great use case, AI must be designed and implemented well. It's no magic box - you have to put in the hours and effort for a great result. So how do you define the use case, and how to solve it? You can use service design. Service design zooms out and considers the entire service; from the point of view of the customers and their journeys, as well as all the people, processes and systems involved from the business side. The aim is to redesign services, and look for improvements throughout. It's likely that AI will solve part of it, but we don't start by looking for an opportunity to shoehorn it in. By considering the entire service, and where AI might fit into it, you can genuinely transform your business. Otherwise there's no real strategy, and countless hours and money can be wasted.
