They are the champions! ?? Today members of the Virginia Tech Newport News Center (some of our biggest champions) gathered for our final meeting of the calendar year. Each council member highlighted their own work and initiatives that they are most excited to implement in the near future. We were also joined by Dean Kevin Pitts of Virginia Tech College of Science who was our featured faculty spotlight. Dean Pitts shared an overview of the academic, research, and engagement efforts the college is leading in Blacksburg and beyond. We concluded with a year in review of the Newport News Center. ?? Today we closed out the final training session of the 2024 James City County Emerging Leaders Academy with a leadership simulation that sprinkled in a fun and dynamic gamification element.
