Carrie Fearer, assistant professor in the Department of Forest Resources and Environmental Conservation, joined the Curious Conversations podcast to discuss forest health in the wake of natural disasters. Gabrielle Gorman, a junior in the Department of Fish and Wildlife Conservation, had an experience in her summer internship that was the essence of experiential learning. After a small kestrel fell from its nest in Lane Stadium, the young bird was allowed to convalesce at the Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center of Roanoke before being released back into the wild earlier this month. Learn more about Gabby's part in raising the young bird, including sending it to "mouse school."
