Workshop recap! On August 20th Deborah Tarter, Aakash Gautam, Christian Matheis, Ph.D., and Gopinaath Kannibaran gave a workshop in the context of the Participatory Design Conference in Sibu, Sarawak, Malaysia on methodologies for surfacing conflict while doing participatory design. This sought-after workshop drew an engaged group of thirty participants and was inspired by work from the university’s computer science department. Among the attendees were notable CS alumni, including Chandani Shrestha, Assistant Professor of Computer Science at JMU, Samantha Yglesias, and current graduate student Carlos Bautista Isaza.
