I got to spend some quality time with my northern brother Benjamin Worel this week at the Rocky Mountain West Pavement Preservation Partnership meeting in Sacramento, CA. The Asphalt Pavement Alliance was there to make a presentation about dense versus gap graded preservation thinlays. This picture was taken while we were touring VSS International, Inc. with Jeff Roberts, Matt Ferguson, PMP, and Daniel M.. The tour was awesome and informative! They showed us how they make emulsion, blend asphalt rubber, and place fiber modified micro surface. #BuzzOnAsphalt

?? *VSS International Hosts Rocky Mountain West Pavement Preservation Partnership!* ?? Yesterday, we had the pleasure of hosting two busloads of industry professionals from the Rocky Mountain West Pavement Preservation Partnership (RMWPPP) for an immersive field trip at our facility! The event was packed with engaging experiences. Attendees saw a live demonstration of our VSS Macropaver12-EX applying slurry seal over an asphalt rubber chip seal in a true cape seal application. Following the demo, we organized rotating groups to dive deeper, including: - Lab exploration and hands-on mixing at the mix table - A VSS Emultech emulsion plant tour - Equipment training and insights with our expert team from KASI Infrared & VSS Macropaver - A classroom presentation by our skilled VSS staff The day wrapped up beautifully with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and dinner at the historic Sacramento Rail Museum, where everyone enjoyed great company and conversation in a unique setting. It was a fantastic day of learning, networking, and celebrating the pavement preservation community!
