Great pour on our Highland Trails project!
Program Management and Operations at Vrana Construction MBA - Southern Methodist University
This past Friday we poured roughly 1400 cubic yards of concrete (140 truck loads). To celebrate the rain finally staying away Dale Stanek and myself grilled onsite for the pour and prep crew at our Highland Trails project. We of course needed to bring back the Hawaiian Shirt Fridays! Happy to report the pour went great and our crews did eat about 25 lbs of burgers and hotdogs :). #heavycivil #gomaco #nebraskaconstruction

Pleased to announce two new additions to our Vrana Construction Company Civil team Avery Witt (on the left) will be training as a Superintendent on our civil side of the business. He is no stranger to Omaha as he played a large part in construction of the Gene Leahy Mall with his previous employer. He is excited to work again with Dale Stanek and help build for our future. Dacoda M. (on the right) will be training as a Foreman and was a graduate of my first Heavy Highway Construction course given at University of Nebraska at Omaha that I taught with Brandon Kreiling. He worked the past few years in the asphalt side of the construction industry, but always wanted to experience the concrete industry. Both will be working in the field under Bill O'Dell and training to manage their own projects. Beyond excited to have these two join...lets make it a fun 2024 season!

Awesome week to be back in the classroom with Brandon Kreiling at University of Nebraska at Omaha doing an interactive lecture series on civil construction. We had this group of future engineers do a “mock bid” scenario and it was a hit. Excited to see these students join the industry soon!
