???? Time is running out to dedicate flags! Join us this Memorial Day weekend as Vouchers for Veterans and the City of Rochester present the Field of Honor. ??? When: May 24th – May 26th, 2025 ?? Where: Rochester Common, South Main Street, Rochester, NH ?? Honor a Veteran in your life, living or passed, by dedicating a flag in their name. With only a limited number left, each flag will fly proudly with a 3' x 5' American Flag adorned with a yellow ribbon. Alongside each flag, a laminated card will feature the Veteran's name, branch, rank, and branch seal or patch. This heartfelt tribute is a powerful way to pay respect to the heroes who served. As visitors walk among these flags, they will feel the weight of sacrifice, honor, and courage—reflecting on the heroic actions that have shaped the freedom we enjoy today. ?? What an incredible start to 2025! ?? In January alone, Vouchers for Veterans had the privilege of serving nearly 900 veterans across 5 different farmers markets! A total of $16,500 was spent by veterans at these markets, and every penny went directly back into the pockets of our hardworking local farmers and producers. ???? We couldn’t have achieved this without the incredible support from our communities, partners, and amazing volunteers. ?? Your dedication makes all the difference and helps us continue making a positive impact for both our veterans and local NH and ME communities. Here’s to more good things ahead in 2025! ?? We received 276,973 generous votes from our amazing and supportive community, which translates to $5,785.46 to help us further our mission to provide Veterans living in New Hampshire and Maine with vouchers to purchase fresh food directly from local farmers, growers, and bakers at farmers' markets. This will feed hundreds of Veterans and put money into the pockets of local farmers and food producers! ???? Flags are now available for dedication for this year's Field of Honor. ???? Join us Memorial Day weekend 2025 as Vouchers for Veterans proudly presents the Field of Honor display from May 24th to the evening of May 26, 2025. Hosted by the City of Rochester, NH, this heartfelt tribute will take place on the Rochester Common on South Main Street. Witness a breathtaking sight of 550 - 8 foot flagpoles, each adorned with a 3' x 5' ft. American Flag featuring a yellow ribbon. Every flag is accompanied by a laminated card that honors a Veteran, showcasing their name, branch, and rank, along with a vivid branch seal or patch as well as a name of the dedicator if desired. This event promises to be a moving experience that honors our heroes and leaves a lasting impression on all who attend. Come and be part of this meaningful tribute that pays respect to those who have served. Be sure to purchase a flag soon as they will sell out. You have a choice of dedicating a flag to a loved one or friend that has passed away, or a living veteran to honor them. Flags for living veterans stand guard over their brothers and sisters in arms that have passed away. Businesses may honor their employees and dedicate a flag in their honor. If you want to support the program and honor a New Hampshire or Maine Vietnam Veteran(s) that was killed in service, you may do so and the flag's card will bear your name or business as the person/business dedicating the flag. ??Exciting Update from Vouchers for Veterans!?? We’re thrilled to unveil our fresh 'new' logo! ?? It may look familiar as we have been switching over to this logo for a few years now. As we continue our mission to serve and honor the brave men and women who’ve served our country, this updated logo represents a new chapter for our organization. ?? The redesign, created by one of our board members, reflects our ongoing commitment to recognizing and showing gratitude to our Veterans by providing them with community, camaraderie, and farmers’ market vouchers to spend on local food across certain markets in NH and ME. You will see our social media pages display this new logo proudly as of January 14th, 2025. You will also see the logo used with the text: Vouchers for Veterans next to or below it. Our farmers’ market look will remain the same, and you will still be able to find us at markets with the same classic American Flag table cloth. Come summer, we also don’t plan on changing our tent tops until we really need to. Thank you for being part of our community. Stay tuned for even more exciting updates ahead! We are deeply grateful to the Seacoast Rotary Club for their generous support and for including us in the 2024 Seacoast Rotary Turkey Trot 5K. ?? As one of the beneficiaries of this wonderful event, we are honored to receive $10,177. This donation will help us provide over 500 veterans with vouchers for fresh, local food at the Portsmouth Farmers' Market in September 2025. Additionally, every dollar spent through these vouchers goes directly to support our local farmers and food producers. Partnerships like the one we share with the Seacoast Rotary Club are vital to our mission and to strengthening our community. We also want to extend our thanks to all the runners, community members, and partners who came out to support this year’s event. Our volunteers had a great time being part of it, and we appreciate the opportunity to participate on the day of. ??Thank you, Seacoast Rotary Club, for your continued support and for making a real difference in the lives of our Veterans and the local community!
